More About Gail

My dog training career started over 25 years ago when I was given a border collie to train by my employer. I took him to CDTS and trained him up to advanced level, going on to compete him in obedience competitions.

I was invited to become a dog trainer with the school and was subsequently invited to take over the running of it. I went from running approximately 6 classes a week to running 17 and introduced daytime classes which were a rarity in those days.

Now, I help lots more people on a one to one basis so am currently running approximately 9 classes a week.

I am passionate about enabling people to understand the psychology behind dog training, how dogs learn and how to read their dog’s body language in order for there to be better communication.

I live with my long-suffering husband, plus 3 grown up children, twins girls and an older son. Although I owned Border Collies for years, my current dogs are Norfolk Terriers, Roo age 8 and Winnie age 3. I have learned much from each of my dogs, as all come with their own quirks and different personalities. Terriers are a whole new ballgame when it comes to having hunting behaviours!

I am a member of The Canine Behaviour and Training Society and am also a registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.
