Terms & Conditions
Responsibility
Whilst every care is taken to ensure the safety of both you and your dog whilst attending these classes at Cranbourne Dog Training School (CDTS), please note that no responsibility can be accepted by us for any injury to yourself or your dog, or any sickness or disease contracted by your or your dog whilst in the hall or car park.
Unsuitable Dogs
CDTS must be made fully aware of any characteristics of your dog(s) which need to be known for handling and care of the dog(s) and safety of the trainer and assistants. We reserve the right to remove from class any dog that we feel is unsuitable for a class situation, including excessive barking or aggression shown towards people or dogs. If this is the case, we are happy to offer help via private lessons instead to help you overcome any problems you may be having. The number of private sessions offered is at our discretion.
Banned Breeds
If you own a banned breed Pitbull type, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino or Fila Braziliero you need to abide by the legal requirements which are that the dog is neutered, microchipped, kept on lead and muzzle, third party insurance and provide copy of Certificate of exemption.
Refunds and Cancellations
Should you decide to cancel your course we would ask for as much notice as possible. A full course refund is at our discretion and a handling fee of £15 will be charged for any 6 week courses and £20 for 8 week courses. Courses cancelled 7 days or less before the start of the course will only be refunded if we can fill the space and will incur a £25 handling fee. If we cannot fill the space a refund will not be given. If for some reason, you are unable to complete your course, we only give refunds if your dog has become ill or passed away. Sadly, this does occasionally happen, and we will refund the remainder of the course with no handling fee. If your dog is ill, we may request a letter from your vet before processing a refund.
If you are unable to complete the course due to other reasons, we offer private lessons instead. These will be handled on a case-by-case basis and the number of lessons offered is at the discretion of CDTS.
CDTS reserves the right to cancel a course or change the start date at short notice if there are insufficient people to justify running it. Should the new date not be suitable for you, a full refund will be issued.
Private Lessons
Any lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will not be eligible for a refund unless there are extenuating circumstances and refunds are at my discretion. Any lesson taken beyond an 8 mile radius of RG42 is likely to incur a travelling cost.
Photographs
From time to time we would like to use photographs and/or videos taken in classes or in workshops to promote CDTS on social media and to be used on the CDTS website. Please let us know if you’d rather we didn’t do this.
Payment
Courses have to be paid for in advance, we cannot reserve your place without payment.
I confirm that by enrolling in this dog training course with Cranbourne Dog Training School, I understand that no responsibility can be accepted by CDTS for any injury to myself or my dog, or any sickness or disease contracted by either myself or my dog whilst in the hall or car park.
